Dubai and the other emirates are well-known tourist destinations, not to mention that the country hosts over 8 million expatriates. The United Arab Emirates is a nation that receptions an enormous number of guests from all over the world. Dubai is a renowned tourist target, not to mention that the country hosts over 8 million refugees. Pointless to say, UAE is a sentimental jar of cultures and traditions. Nonetheless, as a Muslim country, there are definite aspects to take into contemplation in terms of dress code and conduct. Here are some of the things you should take into consideration as you enjoy your holiday in the UAE.

In public: drunk and disorderly in public is prohibited, and may result in a fine or detention. Drunk driving is equally not condoned and so is having alcohol or other unlawful substances in your custody at any time. Seek clarity before taking photos., particularly if the focus is a woman. Public shows of love should be marginal, limited to holding hands. on the other hand, kissing and hugging in open is a big no.

Dress code: Inhabitants and guests should dress discreetly, predominantly in conservative zones and open places. Swimwear is tolerable at private beaches or around private swimming pools, however, visitors should cover up the rest of the body. Cross-dressing is moped upon and can lead to detainment by the law enforcement agencies

Interactions and invites:Once invited for a meal, receive food and drinks before moving on to other business engagements. It is expected to receive/eat food and drink with your right hand. Similarly, do not serve alcoholic beverages or pork, if your guest is a Muslim .When invited to a majlis, remove your shoes at the entry.do not offer to shake hands when greeting a Muslim member of the opposite sex. both men and women (especially women) may desire not to shake hands with the opposite sex based on religion.

Signals: Try not to signal or point with your finger. As an alternative, use the entire hand if you need to, because any offensive hand gestures in public may land the wrong side of the law. making indecent signals and showing impudence in any way to Dubai’s religion or its leaders are all prohibited and may land you in legal misfortune.

Ultimately, holidays are intended to relish, rejuvenate, unwind and explore. Regardless of the environment, do the best you can with an optimistic mindset while maintaining a relaxed and cheerful outlook. That said, if you take note of these points, you are guaranteed a holiday free from disappointments that may be occasioned by breaking the law or breaching the laid down custom. Enjoy your next holiday in Dubai.
