It is undeniable that dust, pollen, mold, cleaning dust, and other allergens are unescapable and particularly to allergy victims. However, there’s no reason why you should appear immobilized and particularly in the fight against uncomfortable infections resulting from allergy triggers such as runny noses and watery eyes! There are certainly a number of proactive measures you can take to create a comfortable atmosphere.AS a result, we came up with some of the surest measures/cleaning routines to help you with allergies all year-round.
Take control to limit the amounts of pollen/dust getting in your house.
Removing your shoes before stepping inside the house and having a dust-absorbent doormat where you can rub your feet really helps a lot in keeping off dust. Try as much as you can to always keep your windows shut. If you have an air conditioning system, keeping temperatures cool also helps prevent humidity. Humidity generates a conducive environment for mold and dust mites to grow and thrive.
Dust smart.
Dust and mold particles, along with pollen, are common allergy perpetrators. While dusting, clean from upper to lowest to evade scattering dust on regions you just washed. Always use a Wet piece of cloth while dusting as this will trap dust as an alternative to scattering dust all over. Ensure you clean ceiling fans, blinds, and curtains as well.
Maintain a clean bed and mattress.
Every mattress necessitates a mattress cover. It’s a must-have accessory, which is besides susceptible to becoming a harbor for dust mites over time. As you do that, don’t forget to clean your headboard and your bedframe, particularly if either is enclosed in a cloth material.
Don't forget your filters
Ensure that any form of filters within your possession such as those in your fan, air-conditioner unit are in decent shape, form, and hygienic. Similarly, you can add filters to your home, if you don't have any, either as stand-alone room units to help you in trapping external dust/pollen and therefore ensuring a clean air atmosphere.
Keep your pillows clean and covered.
everybody looks forward to nestling into their pillow, particularly after a long day. But then again, one interesting thing is that you aren’t the only one who loves pillows. Dust mites and pollen equally do. It is therefore essential that you keep both the pillows and dust covers clean. They should be washable. Create a weekly routine to wash pillows cases and covers at least once a week.
Use the correct vacuum cleaner for the job.
It is important to note that Not all vacuums are designed in a similar format for a similar purpose. A vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter is advisable. If need be, wood or other hard floors that can be dusted and mopped are better off when carpeted.
