     Time without number, you might have heard of the phrase "excessive contact with sunlight can damage your skin", but do you know that exposure to the Sun's warm rays at a specific time and in a steady manner can be quite helpful? Generally, without the Sun, Life on earth is improbable. Natural light is essential for our health and well-being. The sunlight helps to regulate the inborn pulses of our body and a deficiency of it can influence our health in quite unexpected ways. Sunlight can heal numerous skin diseases and can also help to uplift your mood. Contact to sun rays also called sunbath therapy has been in use from ancient times due to its disease-fighting properties.

     Sunbath therapy is a natural way of healing different health problems. Sunlight helps to regulate melatonin production in the body, which is necessary to maintain the circadian rhythms of the body. Melatonin is an essential hormone released by the pineal gland of our brain. This hormone regulates our sleep-wake cycle. The production of Melatonin is affected by the intensity of sunlight. It increases during the night and falls during the daytime.

      Sunbathing therapy helps to keep the hormonal level in check and keeps disorders at bay. Moreover, it has been established that a decrease in exposure to sunlight may develop physical and psychological disorders. Exposure to the sun does not mean burning your skin. You just have to expose yourself to sun rays in a healthy way. Depriving yourself of healthy exposure may also cause the deficiency of vitamin D in the body.

     Basking helps to increase blood circulation in the body and eradicates toxins from the body. It is also essential for the absorption of calcium by the bones. Study also submits that UVB rays stimulate the production of vitamin D3 in the human body, which is essential in increasing blood pressure.

     Sunrays have distinctive therapeutic power and are even useful in treating skin conditions, such as psoriasis, acne, and eczema. sunlight penetrates deep into the skin to purify the blood vessels.

well,we all know that  everyone can sunbathe, but to be able to achieve the desired results, you need to factor in the following:

 -Do not take a sunbath in strong sunlight. as soon as you start sweating, move away from the sunrays.

-Cover your head with a wet towel. You should be in your light cotton clothes/underwear to allow your skin to absorb the sunlight in a healthier way. Either lie down or sit somewhere in the sun and relax for a while.

 In straw-hat season, the duration should be 10-15 minutes and in winters, it should be 20-30 minutes. Avoid taking a sunbath in a windy place.

The best timing to sunbathe is before 8 am and after 5 pm as the sun rays at this time are not very harsh.

 Summarily, there are a couple of key things you ought to consider during sunbathing. they include;

Drink plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated during sunbathing.

Cover your head with a wet towel during sunbathing.

After taking a sunbath, take a bath with water.

Do not eat anything immediately after taking a sunbath instead, take some few minutes to cool down.
